DISCOVER THE INSIGHTS OF SRI LANKAN VILLAGE-TOUR & DAMBULLA CAVES
After your breakfast proceed to Sigiriya. You can enjoy a village tour in Galewela where you will get the chance to experience a TukTuk , bullock and catamaran ride through the village. You could engage yourself in a traditional village style cooking demonstration and get a chance to learn and cook local rice and curry with the ancient secret recipe while cooking with the demonstrators ( Optional), followed by a fresh organic Sri Lankan Lunch and continue your journey towards Sigiriya. En route visit the Dambulla Cave Temple a massive rock from the surrounding plains of Dambulla of 600 feet high and over 2000 feet in length. Thereafter check in at the hotel, relax yourself in the pool, enjoy a complimentary dinner and for an overnight stay.
HIKE THE SIGIRIYA ROCK
Today you will visit the ruins of this ancient city of Polonnaruwa, one of Sri Lanka’s medieval capitals, where you will see the remains of the palace, swimming pools and various dagobas. The highlight of the ruins is the Gal Vihara Rock Sculptures and the three giant stone sculptures of the Buddha that were carved in granite by an unknown sculptor in the 12th century. Have your lunch and towards the evening pull out your camera, tighten your shoes lace, stuff your back pack and off for a hiking session at Sigiriya, one of the most breathtaking sights in Sri Lanka to click on some worthy picturesque clicks. Sigiriya rock known as the 8th Wonder of the World has been formed by the lava of a wiped out spring of gushing lava, it stands at 200 meters in height, surrounded by wildernesses with the unique harmony between the nature and human imagination. VISIT THE TEMPLE OF TOOTH RELIC
Today morning head off to Kandy, a cultural land amongst hills. Check in at the hotel and have your lunch at a recommended restaurant. In the evening visit The Temple of the Tooth Relic which houses the Relic of the Tooth of Lord Buddha. The Temple of the Tooth Relic, the holy city of Kandy is associated with the history of the dissemination of Buddhism. Get a chance to shop around gem shops, batik factory and view the wood carvings. In the evening have a chance to view the Kandyan cultural dance show. Check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
ENJOY THE WORLD´S MOST SCENIC TRAIN RIDE
Leaving behind the cultural triangle you will start your adventurous scenic train ride ( tickets subject to availability)towards Ella to view the stunning greeneries surrounded by the tea plantations. Enjoy the stunning views as the track snakes along the edge of mountains overlooking huge valleys of rolling tea plantations and small villages, dense forests and cascading waterfalls..Check in at the hotel and spend the day at Leisure followed by Dinner.
IT`S SAFARI TIME AT YALA
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Yala, enroute visit the Little Adam’s Peak and nine arch bridge which provides a sweeping panoramic view of Ella and take part in the evening Yala Safar. Which is the second largest, yet most famous national park in Srilanka famous for its high concentration of leopards in the world. In its essence, the park consists of shrub jungle with rock outcrops along with several fresh water and salt water lagoons. Some of the most prominent sightings in Yala are of leopards, elephants, sloth bears, sambar, spotted deer, jackals, wild boar and buffaloes, langur and macaque monkeys. Yala is also famous for its bird life. There are around 130 species of birds that have been spotted at the premises including black necked stork, sandpipers, pelicans, egrets, hoopoes, parakeets and bulbuls. One could spot peacocks as soon as they enter the park unlike the evasive jungle fowl, the national bird of Sri Lanka. Check in at the hotel and spend the day at leisure followed by Dinner.
TRAVEL TOWARDS THE CRYSTAL BLUE SEAS OF TANGALLAE
Today, Enjoy breakfast at the resort and proceed to Tangalle which is always called a peace heaven to relax by the beach. Tangalle is a lazy fishing town situated on one of the finest and largest bays of Sri Lanka. With a palm fringed bay, beautiful coves and vast golden beaches Tangalle is a tranquil alternative to the more vibrant tourist beach destinations. The popular bays here are Goyambooka, Medaketiya, Pallikkudawa and Medilla. Medaketiya is a beautiful quiet beach with fine white sand. The most popular tourist attraction in Tangalle is the stunning Mulkirigala rock temple.
IT´S WHALE WATCHING TIME IN MIRISSA
Wake up early in the morning and with packed breakfast proceed to Mirissa to take part in a private whale watching tour and enroute visit the Coconut Tree Hill which is presumably the most well-known place in Mirissa. You can watch the infinite sea and Mirissa bay area from the top of this amazing place. It takes you 10-15 min walk up the street from Mirissa Beach. You can reach here through Bandaramulla temple and also you can access this place via the beach. Accessing via the beach would be difficult if the sea is rough.Every afternoon from October to April, families or group of friends will enjoy this wonderful whale watching tour at the sunset starting and ending at Mirissa Fisheries harbour. This cruise includes afternoon snacks, complimentary refreshments and watersport activities.
VISIT THE HUMMANYA BLOW HOLE
Relax and Spend the day at leisure at the mesmerising secluded beachfront and optionally you can visit the Hummanaya Blowhole situated in the Hiriketiya beach which id well knowned as the best surfing spot in Sri lanka and Hummanaya Blow whole which is the only known blowhole in Sri Lanka also considered to be the second largest blowhole in the world. “Hummanaya” ( the blow hole ) refers to the noise, “hoo”, that can be heard a distance away when the blowhole is active. Hummanaya is a natural blowhole, and caused when sea water rushes through a submerged cavern and is pushed upwards. The sea water flows underneath the shore, and then comes out of this hole due to pressure. The water fountain created by the geological feature shoots up every couple of minutes, depending on the nature of the sea, with the spray often reaching as high as 25 m (82 ft) to 30 m (98 ft).
