Day 1
WELCOME TO THE TEARDROP ISLAND!!!!
Arrive on day one and be greeted by one of our experienced English speaking tour guide who will load your luggage and ride through ancient cultural streets of Dambulla to your first hotel. Enroute visit the Dambulla Cave Temples and check in at the hotel and spend the day at leisure followed by Dinner.
Dambulla is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a bustling town and relatively few, but resplendently unique historical sites that must not be missed. Dambulla is most renowned for the impressive cave temples – officially known as the Royal Rock Temple.
Day 2
IT’S SAFARI TIME AT HABARANA!
After having a hearty breakfast head off your day towards an enlightening and exhilarating, village safari which gives you a glimpse of a uniquely interlinked Sri Lankan village life where the villagers spend their daily lives with the greatest respect to nature. Spend a morning in the remote village of Hiruwadunna – an area the locals call ‘God’s village’ and said to be a refuge of King Wasaba (66-110 AD). In the evening, head for a jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park Kaudualla national park which is the home to the world’s largest elephant gathering. It is a unique phenomenon and truly memorable experience that can only be witnessed at the Minneriya or Kaudualla National Parks.
Day 3
HIKE THE SIGIRIYA ROCKS!
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and put on your trekking shoes and get ready to climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. .Sigiriya, the spectacular ‘Lion rock’ fortress, stands majestically overlooking the luscious green jungle surroundings and is one of Sri Lanka’s major attractions. Sigiriya is both a palace and a fortress of stunning splendor and is a tribute to its ingenious builders. The rock fortress was built by King Kasyapa way back in 473 AD to ward off invasions by his enemies. Sigiriya has also been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is unofficially considered to be the Eighth World Wonder. The technology and advanced irrigation systems of this fortress have bewildered modern engineers as it is way ahead of its time. The fortress is further enhanced by the remarkable lion paws carved into the entrance, beautiful water gardens, Sigiriya frescoes, and the graffiti mirror wall. Day 4
VISIT THE TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH RELIC !
Enjoy breakfast at the resort and proceed to the cultural and traditional city of Kandy to visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic which is the home to the temple of Lord Buddha’s Tooth and take part in the Kandy city tour before checking in to your hotel. Kandy was the last kingdom to fall to the British. Rich in culture and tradition, Kandy is in the central highlands and home to the Temple of the Tooth, a world heritage site and revered by Buddhists all over the world. Kandy has an urban buzz, surrounded by beautiful hills and countryside, with refreshing lush greenery. The town center has a picturesque lake setting, with delightful stalls and a buzzing street market
Day 5
DISCOVER THE CITY OF COLOMBO BY TUK TUK
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and proceed to Colombo and take part in a Colombo Tuk Tuk Safari which is a funfilled fully exclusive safari to view the whole city of Colombo. Take a stroll on the energetic Galle Road, visit the malls for your shopping needs. For a more authentic shopping experience, visit Pettah for bargain shopping and witness the bustle of everyday trading and marketing in the heart of Colombo. Visit the Galle Face Green for a sunset combined with delicious ‘isso wade’. Check-in at your hotel and spend the day at leisure followed by dinner.
Day 6
MALDIVES- TRANSIT TO THE ” KING ISLAND”
Today, Pack up your swim packs and your day starts off by arriving in the Island of the Maldives where you will be greeted and met by one of our chauffeur guides and transferred to Kudadoo Islands which is also called the ” Kings Island”. Check-in at the Hotel and spend the day at Leisure
