TREKKING THROUGH THE KNUCKLES MOUNTAIN RANGE
This morning the first highlight of your trip starts. You drive into the unique area of the Knuckles Range. The mountain range forms the northeastern part of the Sri Lankan highlands, which is also called as the “foggy mountains” due to its uniqueness and high fog forest zone( Dumbara Kundavetiya). The forest reserve is part of the “Central Highlands” biosphere reserve, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010. Knuckles Range is the best hiking area in Sri Lanka, it takes at least two days to cross it from north to south, but it is also recommended for smaller hikes. One of the island’s most fascinating panoramas, called “Mini World’s End”, can be reached within half an hour from Deanston. In the evening you have the opportunity to relax in your hotel

After breakfast, relax at your glamping camp or optionally could strive another 3-hour hike through the Knuckles Mountain Range before continuing to Kandy at noon. Today the journey continues up into the highlands of Nuwara Eliya. The city is surrounded by mountains, valleys, waterfalls and tea plantations and is one of the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka. In the afternoon you visit a tea factory. Here you will learn everything you need to know about growing tea in Sri Lanka. Discover the different varieties and learn how the plant is grown, picked and processed. In the end, enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea with a view of the tea plantations. Sri Lanka is the fourth largest tea producer in the world. Ceylon tea is known for its fresh, pleasant, strong taste.

HIKE THROUGH THE PLATEAU’S OF HORTON PLAINS!
Today look forward to a hike in the Horton Plains National Park. This hilly plateau at an altitude of 2100 to 2300 meters is known as a “biodiversity hotspot” because of its great biodiversity and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2010. There are many hiking trails that are suitable for young and the old where individual routes are marked by various levels of difficulty. One of the most popular destinations is the “World’s End”.

After a hearty breakfast ,head off your journey towards Deniyaya, enroute, grab your cameras amd bino’s and proceed to take part in the Udawalawe Safari, which is a sanctuary for wild animals especially herds of elephants displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir, enroute, visit the Ravana waterfalls, which is one of the largest waterfall named after the legendary King Ravana, who lived in a cave above the waterfall and is said to have captivated the Indian princess Sita according to the Indian national epic Ramayana . HEAD TOWARDS SINHARAJA FOREST!
